Let's DO STEM
Wednesday October 9, 2024 11:30am - 12:30pm EDT
  • STEM is something that students have to DO. Black males represent only 2% of the STEM workforce, highlighting a significant opportunity gap (NSF, 2019).
  • Early STEM engagement can reduce dropout rates, which is crucial as Black males have the highest dropout rate among all demographic groups (U.S. Department of Education).
  • Black students who engage in STEM are more likely to pursue higher education and careers in STEM fields, contributing to economic mobility and stability (ACT, 2017).
Take part in this OPPORTUNITY to interact with Fun Weird Science strategies as we model engaging hands-on learning experiences guaranteed to keep your scholars hooked. Participating stakeholders will benefit from and engage in a variety of STEM-based activities designed for use as lesson hooks, driving focus, and/or extensions.
